Honda CG125 1989 This is the family hack, we've had it for years. Occasionaly a manufacturer comes up with a design that is more of less fool proof. This is what Honda did with the CG125. The engine is a simple OHV single using a high camshaft keeping the pushrods short. These engines will run for years with little or no maintenance.
Mine is a 1989 CG125BR-J, made in Brazil. Click photo for a bigger picture The original engine was replaced with a CG125E unit after it wrecked itself - twice! Also the original (small) battery and mounting have been replaced with a larger sealed battery in a home made mounting. This is in regular use taking me to and from work, also during the winter it's my main bike.
